I didn't even know about this album. And I just spent a few minutes. I can get the soft spot.

This is great the way that the Merman Disco Album is great. No, that's unfair. This is definitely better.

The production quality is actually pretty fantastic, and you're right about the LuPone "Somewhere / Tonight." It's kinda awesome to hear Patti's voice put thru those filters. And it's interesting to hear the way that a smart arranger approaches the rhythms to make everything super four-on-the-floor and block-chordsy.

A fun listen. So does this epitomize what I'm discussing? Do you think Mr. Snider listened to theater music when Twisted Sister was selling out arenas? I wonder if he's ever discussed it...
