well, TV killed the radio star, and motion pictures killed live theatre, even before TV and video got its hand on it, but no, the theatre is a zombie. when I look around theatres, I see enthusiasm and life. indoors or out, 8pm or 7. I also see a few people who seem miserable, at the theatre, on the street, sitting on a crosstown bus, in line at Duane Reade. Proving once again "You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time."-A. Lincoln [Even though he's one person who could be forgiven for feeling entitled to bitch about the theatre.]
