I fear you are right that printed Playbills could disappear in the years to come, but I so love getting one each time I see a play or musical and picking up a couple of extras to send to friends who are interested in Broadway shows but may not have the opportunity to attend them. I just counted my Playbill binders and have 36 of them packed with programs going back to No Time for Sergeants and Bells Are Ringing, my first two Broadway shows. I often refer back to old Playbills when someone puts something on Talkin' Broadway that may have a question or comment about a production I saw years ago. In some of the binders I have Playbills for many shows I saw but barely remember, but overall the printed Playbills bring back many wonderful memories. I don't get back to New York as often as I used to, though am planning a trip for November and look forward to catching up on some shows that opened this past season and a few from next.
