According to IMDB, James Hong has racked up nearly 450 film and TV credits over nearly 7 decades (since 1954). Among them, the sorcerer in ''Big Trouble in Little China'' (1986) and the restaurant host in ''Flower Drum Song'' (1961) and the memorable ''Seinfeld'' episode of ''The Chinese Restaurant'' (1991). Plus, Hong did award-winning voice work on ''Kung Fu Panda.'' Daniel Dae Kim campaigned to get him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so he'll be celebrated this year in a class of honorees, including Carrie Fisher, Michael B. Jordan and Francis Ford Coppola.

But the ''CBS Sunday Morning'' segment leaves out one of his most important achievements. Hong, along with 8 other Asian-American actors (including Mako, Beulah Quo and Soon-Tek Oh), founded East West Players, the premier Asian-American theater company in Los Angeles in 1965.
